Nano Sealants for Oil & Gas wells

Global warming is one of the major issues in worldwide. Methane emission plays critical role, oil & gas wells emit tones of methane in environment through leakage every year. It is very important to seal the micro cracks within the wells to stop methane emission to save the environment.

    TSN-20 Subsurface Sealer

TSN-20 is a subsurface sealant that penetrates, flows and seals very thin microcracks (< 30 micrometers). These cracks are large enough to be problematic but so small that other sealants cannot penetrate and seal.

    • The set-time, density, and viscosity are tailored to provide project-specific solutions.
    • Sets under brine and maintains flowability for up to two hours.
    • Maintains favorable properties to temperatures over 100 oC, making it applicable to deep oil & gas wells and even some geothermal wells.
    • Bonds well to a wide range of surfaces, including steel, concrete and rock.
    • Withstands a high number of pressure and temperature cycles due to its flexibility, strength and long-term durability.
    • Very durable under a range of environmental conditions.

    TSN-20

Contact angle for a type G cement substrate and a drop height of 10 mm for TS-Nano 20™ and microfine cement.

The contact angle for TS-Nano 20™ is 62% lower than the contact angle of microfine cement. The surface tension is 43% lower than the one of the microfine cement. Contact angle, viscosity, and surface tension are indicators of sealant penetrability and its ability to flow into thin microcrack and displace other fluids

TS-Nano sealant TSN-20 has much greater bond strength to cement and rock formations than microfine cement
